Hiking Cañada del Infierno
Guided and interpreted route by environmental guides in Sierra Blanca, decared Biosphere Reserve by the UNESCO. Offering this activity in different languages, we mix low impact sport (hiking) with nature comprehension and interpretation.
4-5 hours of soft walk enjoying Costa del Sol (Marbella, Estepona,…), Green River Valley and Sierra de las Nieves Nature Park views from top, and even Gibraltar and África!
We’ll start in Istán natural spring, filling up our bottles with refreshing water from the mountains and we’ll walk high up untill getting Sierra de las Nieves Nature Park. And then we’ll come back crossing Istán orchards, a nature paradise!

Participants: Everyone in good health conditions. Required to be fit.

We’ll start in Istán, hiking along an old arab irrigation channel which will led us until Istán’s Spring, a natural source of refreshing and cristal clear water, filtered by the limestone mountain.
With our bottles full of pure water we will walk high up following off roads and tracks, crossing the Bonelli’s Eagle and wild goat territory. While trekking we’ll enjoy amazing views of Gree River Valley with Costa del Sol and the Strait of Gibraltar behind us and Sierra de las Nieves highest mountains in front of us. We will also enjoy nice views of Istán village, a white patch surrounded by the green forest. Spring is the season of wild orchids, amazing plants you will discover with us!
We use to have a break and a snack on top and then start the way down.
Finally we will get Istán’s orchards where, if possible, we’ll taste some of the best oranges of the region, directly from the tree. We’ll go through this beutiful corner of the white village and finish having a beer in this little town.
Finally we’ll walk back to the car park, full of energy and satisfied for that great day in the nature!
