Hiking Istán’s Orchards
Guided and interpreted route by environmental guides around Istán and its orchards, an area decared Biosphere Reserve by the UNESCO and gate of Sierra de las Nieves Nature Park. Offering this activity in different languages, we mix low impact sport (hiking) with nature comprehension and interpretation.
2-3 hours of soft walking throughout avocado, orange, lemon,…orchards! A patch of tropical crops few minuts from Marbella and Costa del Sol. Pick them up yourself and taste fresh fruit right from the tree! Chill out while listening to the flow of fresh water along old arab irrigation channels. Finally visit a typical white village and get to know our history and local lifestyle. Feel Spain with 5 senses!

Istán is a typical spanish white village, perched on a cliff, unspoiled and full of history. In this tour you will discover its hidden corners, its narrow streets, the smell of jazmin and the local lifestyle! Friendly people that live in peace and harmony.
Istán is «the village of water«, with several fountains and a wide net of old arab irrigation channels bringing water from the spring to the orchards. So we will taste this fresh and pure water at the spring of Istán where our hiking tour is starting, then we will walk down the fields of colourful oranges, avocados, lemons,…and if the farmers agree, you can taste fresh fruits right from the tree, no chemicals!
This tour will teach you another way of life, far away from the hustle of Marbella and Costa del Sol. It’s like another world just 20 minuts from Marbella-Estepona.
